Places of interest in and around our cottages

There are many fantastic places to visit, things to see and places to eat in easy commutable distance from Bleatarn Park.

The beautiful Lake District National Park is only a 40 minute drive away, containing the second largest lake in the UK, Ullswater, where you can take a trip on the famous Ullswater Steamers or visit the pretty town of Pooley Bridge.

Hadrian's Wall is steeped in history, and has a public footpath running the length of the wall, with many museums and Roman buildings to visit.

Cumbria has the highest number of Michelin-starred restaurants outside London and we are an ideal base for your culinary adventure, with two of these a very short distance away (The Cedar Tree 15 mins drive / Pentonbridge Inn 30 mins drive)

Surrounding us you have the town of Brampton, Talkin Tarn Country Park (where you can, on most days, enjoy a range of outdoor activities from rowing to archery), and Lanercost Priory with a tea room close by.

Walby Farm Park is a great place to take the children, with activities and farm animals to see and enjoy.
